Bechamel Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp butter (salted, doesn't matter)
  • 2 tbsp plain flour
  • milk
  • cheese, grated (tasty or some soft cheddar, edam does in a pinch)

Method

  1. Add butter to a saucepan, melt on low heat
  2. Add plain flour to make a paste
  3. Splash in some milk, stirring
  4. Add grated cheese, still stirring
  5. Carefully add more milk, bit by bit until desired thickness (while stirring)
