Self Saucing Chocolate Pudding

Ingredients
Sponge- 60g butter
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup caster sugar
- 1 cup self-raising four
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- vanilla essence or extract
- 1/2 cup milk
Sauce
- 1/2 cup caster sugar
- 2 cups hot water
- 2 tbsp cocoa power
Method
Sponge- Cream butter and sugar
- Add egg and mix well
- Sift in flour and cocoa
- Mix and add milk until it forms a soft mixture, like a batter
- Place in a deep (greased) oven dish
Sauce
- Mix together sugar, cocoa with 2 cups of hot water
- Gently pour over a spoon onto the pudding
Bake
- Bake in a moderate oven (160 deg) for 35-40 minutes
- Serve hot or cold
