Ingredients
- 250g Pork belly cubed
- 2 tbsp peanut oil
- 1 tbsp caster sugar
- 1 tbsp light soy
- 1 tbsp dark soy
- 3 tbsp shaoxing wine (chinese cooking wine)
- 1 tbsp korean chilli paste (gochujang)
- 2 cups water
Method
- Boil pork 5 mins
- Heat oil and sugar melting them together on medium heat
- Coat pork in sugar oil mixture till browned
- Add soy (both), shaoxing, water and chilli paste
- simmer for 1 hour - add water by the half cup if it's too stick too soon
- optionally, cook on high heat for 10 mins if too watery, avoid burning it
