Ingredients
- 2-4 eggs
- 2 tbsp light soy sauce
- 2 tbsp mirin
- 3-6 tbsp water (6 tbsp if marinating for a short time 3 tbsp if marinating for a long time)
Method
- Boil eggs for 6 mins (you want gooey insides - not hard or runny)
- Mix all wet ingredients together
- Place eggs in cold water after boiled
- Shell the eggs
- Submerge in eggs in wet ingredients
- Marinate overnight (6 hours) or for a couple of hours (1.5+) - will get a deeper flavour if left for a long period of time
