Ramen Egg

Ingredients

  • 2-4 eggs
  • 2 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp mirin
  • 3-6 tbsp water (6 tbsp if marinating for a short time 3 tbsp if marinating for a long time)

Method

  1. Boil eggs for 6 mins (you want gooey insides - not hard or runny)
  2. Mix all wet ingredients together
  3. Place eggs in cold water after boiled
  4. Shell the eggs
  5. Submerge in eggs in wet ingredients
  6. Marinate overnight (6 hours) or for a couple of hours (1.5+) - will get a deeper flavour if left for a long period of time
